My blog on Monday was very much centered on Kentucky with Kentucky distilled whiskeys. I thought I would expand this to include whiskeys from other states with whiskeys that are more regional in their distribution.

The first whiskey is from Tennessee. It is Leiper’s Fork Bourbon. It is very much a regional whiskey found in Tennessee and the surrounding states. It is one of my favorite whiskeys with a very fruity taste. It costs $79.99, but is worth the price. It is better than many $100 whiskeys.

The next Bourbon is from Missouri. It is Ben Holliday Soft Red Winter Wheat Bourbon. It is as good as any other wheated Bourbon in the market today with a sweet caramel apple flavor profile. It is widely distributed in most states and costs $59.99 for a 750 ml bottle.

The third whiskey is Dettling 1867 Bonded Bourbon from the Big Escambia Distillery in Alabama. It is an excellent Bourbon handcrafted by Seth Dettling. It makes an excellent gift for any occasion and costs $83.99.

The fourth whiskey is Frey Ranch Bonded Rye whiskey from Nevada. It is distributed mostly out west but it can be found online from the distillery. It has a cost of $59.99 and is worth the effort to order a bottle. This whiskey has a flavor profile of rye grass, fruit and caramel.

The next whiskey is from the Starlight Distillery in Indiana, Carl T. Starlight Bonded Bourbon. This is an excellent Bourbon made with grain grown on the Huber family farm and distilled at the farm distillery. It has a cost of $51.99 per bottle.

These are a few of my favorite whiskeys. They can be harder to find, but worth the effort. They make an excellent gift for your father on Father’s Day.
