Green River Distillery is going through some hard times. The tariff situation has reduced the sales of whiskey overseas and hard times caused by tariffs in the United States have contributed to the reduction of sales domestically. That has caused them to shut down production and lay off workers. However, they have some very good whiskey in the barrel and are bottling it. This full proof wheat recipe Bourbon is their latest expression. Matt and I really enjoyed this whiskey and we hope that Green River Distillery gets through these hard times. They make excellent whiskey in Owensboro, Kentucky. Here are our tasting notes.

I would pair this fine Bourbon with a My Father The Judge cigar. I think the rich chocolate and tobacco flavors in the smoke would pair well the vanilla and spice of the Bourbon.
