Steve Beam always comes up with a very tasty Bourbon for his limited edition Bourbons and this year is no exception. The Yellowstone Bourbon is finished with both Ruby and Tawny Port casks, but the Bourbon still shines through the finishing. I have a bottle of this fine bourbon and Matt and I sat down to taste it the other day. Here are our tasting notes.
Yellowstone Limited Edition 2026 Bourbon Finished in Ruby and Tawny Port Casks

Age: No Age Statement
Nose:
- Mike: Vanilla, raisins, dates, cinnamon and oak wood.
- Matt: Vanilla, pears, cedar and oak woods.
Taste:
- Mike: Vanilla, raisins, dates, cinnamon, nutmeg and oak wood. Tasted with a dried cranberry and a nice peach note joins the party. Tasted with a pecan and caramel apples come out in the taste.
- Matt: Vanilla, pears, blackberries, nutmeg, cedar and oak woods. The dried cranberry enhanced the vanilla and nutmeg. The pecan added marshmallow and caramel to the taste.
Finish:
- Mike: Medium long with oak wood, raisins and cinnamon. The dried cranberry added lingering peach to the finish. The pecan made the finish long with oak wood, apples and cinnamon.
- Matt: Medium long with oak wood and blackberries. The dried cranberry added lingering vanilla. The pecan added nutmeg to the finish.
I would pair this fine Bourbon with a cigar that has dried fruit and vanilla in the smoke. I would reach for a My Father Blue cigar.
