Mike And Matt Taste Old Glory Bottled In Bond Tennessee Whiskey

This whiskey was produced by the Old Glory Distilling Co. in Clarksville, Tennessee. I recently visited the Distillery on an excursion from the Bourbon Cruise on the American Countess Riverboat, part of the American Queen Voyages. This is a 21st Century start-up artisan distillery dedicated to quality and making very good whiskey. There’s a good tour available, knowledgeable tour guides, a large gift shop and a sizable cocktail bar. This Tennessee Whiskey is made with a mash bill recipe of 73% corn, 19% wheat, and 8% malted barley. It is a Bottled in Bond Whiskey, and the Distillery regards that designation as a badge of honor (I agree!) Rosemary and I purchased this bottle in the Distillery bottle shop. Recently, Matt and I sat down and tasted this Bourbon and here are our tasting notes.

Old Glory Bottled In Bond Tennessee Whiskey

Proof: 100

Age: 4 years old

Nose:

Taste:

Finish:

I would pair this Tennessee Whiskey with an Olivia Serie G Toro cigar. The toasty, sweet and creamy smoke of this cigar with hints of spice, cedar and coffee would complement the caramel, apple and smokey oak flavors in the Whiskey.
